What rituals can you do to help you get less worried about speaking in front of a crowd?

In brief: Be well prepared
Public speaking is a skill like any other. The best "ritual" is to be so well prepared that you are confident in your ability.
Be able to talk from a few cue words. Do not read your talk. Practice giving your talk in front of a small group of people. Be prepared for some in the audience to be rude (talk on cell phone, talk to each other, get up and leave). Be prepared fora variety of questions!
