Is the orchiectomy for male cancer?

Testis cancer. Entails the effected testis to be removed, unilateral orchiectomy. For advanced prostate cancer, bilateral orchiectomy is as effective and cost effective as pharmaceuticals, but the idea is unpalatable to many patients and some doctors.
