In brief: Pomegranates
Pomegranates are a healthy, low calorie, high-antioxidant-power fruit.
It's a nice add-in to an otherwise healthy diet for gestational diabetes or otherwise.

In brief: Fruits in moderation
To help patients control gestational diabetes, experts recommend checking 1-hour post-meal sugar levels.
If after eating pomegranates (or other fruits or other carb sources) your glucose is less than 130 mg/dl, then that snack or meal is acceptable. However, your body's ability to control this post-meal glucose will change during the course of pregnancy, so you need to continue testing throughout.

In brief: Check sugar
Please check your blood sugar level 1 hour after consuming a small amount of pomegranate to check how much your body can take.
For gestational diabetes, <110 mg/dl 1-hr post prandial sugar level is recommended. Like other fruits, pomegranate also has sugar. You can have a very small amount safely if your sugar level remains well within the limit.

In brief: Fruits in moderation
Fruits in moderation are ok.
But check your sugars , and if they are consistently high after promgranates, better to avoid
