In brief: Incisional pain

Usually pain around incision and right upper abdomen pain.
Also pain in right shoulder/upper arm region ( this related to the gas we put in abd for lap chole surgery). In general pain should get better in days. If not then contact your surgeon.

In brief: Often not much

Although there is always pain after any surgical procedure, patients often go home the same day after laproscopic gall bladder removal with oral pain medication.
Many patients proclaim that they didn't realize how bad they felt with their sick gall bladder until they were better!
