Acellular matrix. Alloderm is an acellular dermal matrix. It is often used in dentistry to help cover roots of teeth that have been exposed by gum recession.
Alloderm is. Dermis (the layer underneath the surface of the skin) that is taken from a deceased donor and processed and sterilized. It can be used for skin grafting, gingival grafting in the mouth and some cosmetic procedures to enhance lips, among other things.
