In brief: Nice full list
Here is a nice link: http://www.
Rxlist.Com/protonix-drug/side-effects-interactions.Htm also here: http://www.Drugs.Com/sfx/protonix-side-effects.Html but, in my practice it has been well tolerated by most. Every drug has side effects and almost every drug has rare ones that can sound scary.

it belongs to a class of drugs that is very effective at 'turning off' gastric acid. The problem is they can be too effective. Leading to failure to absorb nutrients and increasing risk of osteoporosis, for example. IF long-term GERD warrants treatment consider alternatives - eg surgery.Review their necessity critically.

In brief: Protonix (pantoprazole)
The most common side effects from taking Protonix (pantoprazole) are headaches, constipation, gas , and nausea.
There is a long list of potential side effects that are really rather rare but these are the ones I have seen in clinical practice. Occasionally someone will have diarrhea or abdominal pain as well.
