Positive HSV culture but negative blood test; should tests be repeated?

In brief: Trust the culture

A positive herpes culture is diagnostic of herpes.
I don't know why the blood test (antibody) was negative, but it's not used to make a diagnosis, only to determine whether the virus is present. I would trust the culture.
