Are new treatments avaialble for uterine fibroids?

Yes. Certainly hormone therapy, and surgery can be used, but many fibroids can be managed conservatively. The robot assisted removal has improved outcomes on fibroid removal substantially.
Yes. It depends on what you consider 'new.' most women still have hysterectomy for fibroids. Some have myomectomy. Embolization (uae) is effective in ~90% of women and allows them to avoid surgery. Mri guided ultrasound continues to have relatively disappointing results. Medical therapies are being tested which may help women avoid any invasive procedure, but they are several years from being available.
