What are the typical symptoms of endometriosis?

Pain and infertility. The classic triad of symptoms are painful periods, painful intercourse, and painful bowel movements, especially around the time of the period. However, some patients surprisingly don't experience any pain, and we only discover their endometriosis when we perform laparoscopy to diagnose otherwise "unexplained" infertility. Proper excision very often resolves the infertility in many patients.
