In brief: Not Yet

No Cure for diabetes yet, but there is exciting research to help " close the loop" of blood sugar management.
An insulin pump can bolus insulin according to blood sugar measurements from a continuous glucose monitor via a computer algorithm in an iPhone or android (methyltestosterone) phone. Outpatient studies are promising and there are several academic centers developing and studying this technology now!

In brief: No

There is no cure for type 1 diabetes.
Treatment is Insulin either by injection or pump because the pancreas in these patients is unable to make it.
