In brief: Aortic valve leak.

Aortic valve leak is called aortic insuffiency.
It can be due to multiple causes such as rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis, aortic root aneurysm, endocarditis etc.

In brief: Aortic valve leak

Insufficiency of the aortic valve means the valve does not close properly.
The aortic valve, like the other three heart valves is a check valve (blood should only flow through it in one direction), when the valve is incompetent and does not close properly (many different reasons), some of the blood that left the left ventricle with systole, will return to the ventricle during diastole.
