Hemophilia is inherited disorder of bleeding.
Hemophilia a, deficiency of factor viii is commoner than hemophilia b due to deficiency of factor ix. Both are x-linked and affect boys/men only, with rare exceptions. Concentrated coagulation factors are given by intravenous injections to prevent and treat abnormal bleeding.
