Unstable angina and nstemi are now bundled in the term "acute coronary syndrome", they are really different problems.
In simple terms a nstemi is a heart attack that has happened already, unstable angina is a heart attack about to happen. Nowadays, both groups of patients are thought to do better with an invasive strategy (angiography and possible angioplasty).
