It is a cancer of the B cells in lymphatic organs/ lymph glands. in early stage it does not involve bone marrow. When it is found in bone marrow- it is considered to be in advance stage / stage IV.

In brief: Form of lymphoma

Hodgkins lymphoma is one of the 2 major types of tumors of lymph nodes that is highly curable with current rx.
The specific cause is still not known, but the appearance of tumor cells called reed-sternberg cells in the biopsy of affected tissue is classic. Hodgkins was the first form of cancer to be shown to be curable with combination chemo and is now curable in the vast majority of patients.

In brief: Hodgkin's

Causes lumps in lymph nodes, the neck is most common, but they are in other places.
Others have told you it is a b-cell, but the transformed cell is called a reed sternberg cell. It has classic types, and is highly curable at all stages, now dominantly using chemotherapy, but commonly radiotherapy also used in areas of bulk.
