While thyroid disease, either high or low, can be the cause of menstrual changes, it is also likely that many other causes can be involved.
Some like pituitary disease can cause changes in multiple hormones like lh, fsh, TSH and affect thyroid and hormone cycles. If your cycles do not regulate, would have your physician pursue other avenues(hormone levels, sono, etc.).
