Passage of catheter is not very pleasant.
Radiologist can use Lidocaine anesthetic gel. Voiding during and first void after study may sting a little. Essentially not painful. Request addition of antibiotic like gentamicin to the xray contrast fluid used to reduce risk of introducimg a uti.
