In brief: Crowded teeth
A high palate is not as much of a concern as a narrow palate; however they often go hand in hand.
If the palate is narrow and you are younger than 16-17 then you can expand the palate. Expansion will also help create some room for crowded teeth. Now, there are limitations and you will need to have an exam and consult with an orthodontist to go over options and limitations.

In brief: Orthodontic Rx
Both are problems routinely treated by a qualified orthodontic specialist.
Ask your dentist for a referral. 1st orthodontic evaluation age 7, or the moment you notice that there is a problem. Go now to the orthodontist and he will help you decide on the timing and best course of treatment for your child.

In brief: High palate=nothing
Orthodontia can change many aspects of your dentition.
It is a real positive force for change. The palate can be widened with conventional orthodontics, but the height will not be changed unless significant orthopedic intervention or surgery are done.

In brief: Orthodontist
An orthodontist can do palatal expansion to help make room for all the teeth, although sometimes extractions are necessary.

Dentistry
In brief: See your dentist
Upon examination, your dentist can determine whether you need teeth straightening (braces) and may refer you to an orthodontist.
Having properly aligned teeth can prevent further dental problem. High palate condition will also be solved with orthopedic/orthodontia. You will breath easier.
