If you have clinical depression, talking with a therapist can really help.
Literature shows that talk therapy can work just as well as taking an antidepressant. Some feel so down, however, that they cannot even get themselves to go to a therapist, so i usually start with a medicine and then, when you are feeling somewhat better, consider going to a therapist at that point.
