The happiest people I know use their time to help others as much as possible. Caring for others brings its own benefits that include respect and appreciation. With an outward focus looking for opportunities, forgetting yourself for awhile will bring an inner peace and joy knowing you are significant and important to another person/s. Worthlessness will fade away.
