I have just been for my first ultrasound at 6 weeks. They couldnt find the baby's heartbeat. Is my baby dead or just too small to feel the heart beat?

In brief: Depends

On age of pregnancy.
Fetal heart may be heard earlier by OB depending on method of listening. With a fetal sthetoscope it may be heard as early as 20 weeks.
