My 3yr old has cold syptoms and a low grade fever but is waking grabbing at his tounge very distressed not sure why this is its never happwned before ?

*discoloration or coating on the tongue—especially if it's white, curdlike or stringy—does not disappear with regular brushing. *you develop a sore on the side of your tongue. *the throat is extremely red/excoriated & tonsils enlarged with pus.
