What are effects of buspar (buspirone)?

Anti-anxiety. Buspar (buspirone) aka Buspirone is used to treat anxiety. Most common side effects are nausea, sedation, dizziness, headace, and in some cases excitement or restlessness.
Well tolerated. I agree with dr. Moranville. My patients have tolerated Buspar (buspirone) exceptionally well. The most common side effect they have reported is dizziness. Other potential side effects can include: headache, feeling tired, ringing of ears, paradoxical feelings of restlessness or anxiety, blurring of vision, nausea, GI upset, dry mouth & congestion. Priapism would be a very rare but serious side effect.
