What are some things that can be done for major migraines during 2.5 months of pregnancy? Tylenol (acetaminophen) does not work.

In brief: Talk with your doc

Some medicines are not safe during pregnancy but some medicines are.
If tyenol doesn't work, there are some preventive drugs as well as some drugs to take as needed. Also consider acupuncture and biofeedback. Good luck.

In brief: Moist heat Or ice

Medications cannot be totally safe during pregnancy.
Clear any meds first with your ob/gyn or ask your pharmacist. Since many migraines have a muscular component moist heat or cold packs to the affected area can be helpful. Also a lengthy hot shower followed by or preceded by a deep tissue massage could also bring relief. My experience has been that as pregnancy advances pain may reduce a bit.
