In brief: Talk, sing, read,...
To help a baby be interactive, talk to him all the time, except when it's quiet time or sleep time.
Ask him little questions (how are you today? Isn't it nice outside? Are you thirsty? Is your shirt too tight for you?...) even though he never answers. Sing to him at bath time and other times. Read to him (it's ok to read the same kid's book over and over) every day. One day, he will say something!

In brief: Social communication
at 10 months includes his waving " bye" back when someone waves to him, mimicking simple motor games like "pat-cake" and " peek-boo", raising his arms to be picked up & responding consistently when you call his name.
Pointing to a desired object is at 1 year. Contact Early On Michigan, https://1800earlyon.org/online_referral.php, for developmental assessment & services, if needed,or suggestions.

In brief: DELAYED DEVELOPMENT?
Babies develop differently, some faster than others.
As long as they are growing normally and your peds did not find any abnormality physically, other developmental milestone might be a little bit delayed compared to other siblings. Do not worry they will catch up easily.
