Why is it important to sit comfortably when feeding my infant?

In brief: See below

Feeding your baby in an awkward position will only compound the aches and pains most new mothers feel.
Since you will spend, perhaps the most time with this endeavor-be comfortable!

In brief: Consider this

A bottle is a substitute breast.
When nursing, infant & mother are in the " en face" position. Baby's face is about 12" from mother's face, the best distance for him to see her eyes when he looks up. Also, he is being cuddled. Nourishment & nurturing, therefore, naturally go hand-in-hand. The best advice is "don't do anything with a bottle that you wouldn't do with your breast.".
