When should I seek immediate care after having had an abdominal hysterectomy?

Emergency visit. You should be seen immediately if you have fever greater than 101, severe abdominal pains, absence of passing gas or stool, watery diarrhea, burning with urination, back pain on one side, vaginal bleeding heavier than a period, redness, pain or swelling at your incision site, or redness, pain and swelling in your calf or ankle.
