In brief: Weight, Body Image
Teens with eating disorders will often be overaly preoccupied with issues related to wieght and body image.
They may be secretive about the way they deal with food. There may be self-induced vomiting, excessive laxative use, or unhealthy approaches to food. If a teen is losing weight to the point of being unhealthy, an eating disorder should be suspected if possibilities have been ruled out.
