Put all your attention on the speaker. Get at their eye level.
Take a slow quiet deep breath & relax the muscles around your eyes. Do this every time you feel your mind wander. Gradually adopt their body posture.If they lean in, you lean in. We like people who are like us. People remember how they feel when they're w/ us far more than what we say. Let someone feel "heard" & their world changes.
