In brief: No

Like the name says, it is a scan.
No scan hurts. It's just scanning you not touching you.

In brief: No

During an MRI scan some patients are bothered by the closed enclosure of the scanner and having to remain still.
The scan produces some mild warmth similiar to what you may experience during exercise. There is also a loud knocking sound which is reduced by using ear plugs or headphones. For some MRI scans contrast may be needed which requires an injection.
