In brief: If is not broken
It could being dislocated because it bent backward and brusing and the pain there, check it out for possible ligament injury.

In brief: Yes, But
The injury described is suspicious of at least, a volar plate disruption with or without collateral ligament njury.
Needs to be properly evaluated by a hand surgeon. At the very least need a splint. The bruise will extend into the forearm, as the blood is absorbed and drains over a period of one month, following the tunnel of the flexor tendon.
