Are women misdiagnosed more than men?

Internal Medicine - Rheumatology
In brief: In the past , yes
Women were not diagnosed with heart disease, heart attacks, and gout as quickly as men because these were thought to be men's diseases.
Historically, women were not taken as seriously as men and many symptoms were attributed to "hormones." hopefully, that is no longer the case but i don't have the statistics to answer definitively.
