In brief: Don't cut it open

Why would you want to cut it open? There are two main functions in the testicle.
One is to produce sperm and the cells needed for that along with the collection system are all contained in the testicle. The other function is to produce testosterone which is done by another type of cell and collected through another series of tubes. Don't cut it open.

In brief: Please don't do that

Please don't do that; any injury to tissues or organs result in permanent undesirable, yet expected, unwanted scar. Cutting it open is a bloody mess, which requires emergent surgery.
If your curiosity has been itching and driving you to..., see doc (preferably a psychiatrist) timely. Again, please don't do that. God bless you.

As a psychiatrist, I would agree: having thoughts of self-mutilating would warrant a psychiatric evaluation. If you're asking this question purely out of curiosity and not due to any urge to self-harm, then consulting a gross anatomy textbook or a urologist who has performed surgery on the adult testis should relieve your curiosity.
