In brief: Many options.
Observation - a cystocele does not necessarily need to be treated.
Pessary - a pessary is a device that can be inserted into the vagina to support the bladder or any other organ that is dropping. Surgery - there are a variety of surgeries that can be used to repair cystocele. Consult with your doctor to determine which procedure would be best suited for your particular problem.

In brief: Traditional repairs
The area of dissection by surgeons who do a lot of this type of surgery has changed since the development of mesh.
We are now doing the traditional repairs with "full thickness" dissection that was learned with the development of meshes. The jury is still out on the long term objective data regarding cure rates with all of the cystocele repairs. See a doc who does a lot of this type of work.
