Is it a myth or reality that strength training will make women bulk up?

In brief: Mostly myth

Strength training will increase muscle mass for both men and women.
However, women with normal levels of testosterone (for their gender) will not become "muscle bound". Most women experience mild increase in mass but really become more lean and toned. I believe the lean and tone look is more preferred.
