The use of chemicals that can damage the eyes should be done with eye protection, cautionary activity and constant awareness that these chemicals are dangerous and toxic.
There is no way to pre-treat the eye except for protective goggles. If you deal with these regularly, then an eyewash should be close at hand. No matter what the chemical, first flush the eye 10-15 minutes and then to er.
