In brief: FSH

In brief: FSH
Fsh or follicle stimulating hormone is produced in the pituitary gland in the brain.
Fsh stimulates ovarian hormone production. During menopause, when there is no more production of ovarian hormones, a message is sent to the brain to increase fsh to create more hormone for the body. If fsh is found to be higher than a certain level then there is the diagnosis of menopause. Best wishes!
