In brief: Take it easy

Children's palettes take a while to develop.
Putting too much pressure on them to eat a variety of foods when they don't want to could wind up having the opposite of your intended effect. That said, set a great example. Offer lots of choices. And make it fun. Because if it's fun you're likely to enroll them. If it's a burden, you're likely to push them in the wrong direction.

In brief: Set an example

Lead by example- if they see parents eating healthier-they might be encouraged to do the same.
Bring healthy snacks to movies like fruit, instead of the usual movie fare. Cut out sugar drinks, drink water. Don't keep junk food in the house. Prepare your meals for work and try to do the same for them for school. Eating healthier sometimes involves planning
