How can I lower my kids risk of diabetes?

Exercise & good diet. Make sure your kids have a healthy diet, avoiding excess sugar and carbs. Limit consumption of juice, especially apple juice because of high sugar content which constitute empty calories. Do not let them get overweight. Encourage plenty of exercise and physical activity. Limit tv and video games in favor of sport. Check on their bmi if they seem to be gaining weight too fast. Limit junk food.
