Jaw surgery, ortho. Malocclusion is a problem in the way the upper & lower teeth fit together in biting or chewing. It literally means "bad bite". The two main forms of malocclusion are skeletal & dental. Skeletal requires orthognathic surgery & orthodontics to correct. Dental malocclusion can be corrected by ortho alone. Some malocclusion can be corrected by having restorative work done alone or in combo w/ ortho.
Infinite ways. Malocclusions (bad bites) are due to jaw incompatibilities, tooth positions and endless combinations of both. Any procedure either removable or fixed (braces) that changes that situation for the better would fit the criteria. How well it treats the malocclusion has to do with the sophistication of the appliances, skill of clinician and severity of the problem(s).
Orthodontics. Thats what we do!
Orthodontics. Don't fall into the "gadget" trap. Don't become dazzled by glitz. Orthodontics is a service, not a product (gadget) specialty of dentistry that treats malocclusion (bad bite) by moving teeth and jaws (sometimes with help of oral surgeon) into best esthetics, function, and stability. See orthodontic specialist for diagnosis and treatment plan with approaches that will best help you personally.
