Alcohol luvox (fluvoxamine) First of all, a lack of self control to continue alcohol while having a mental diagnosis will lead most of times to failure of treatment. Luvox (fluvoxamine) is primarily used for obsessive compulsive problems. It is a most difficult DX to treat and needs psychotherapy along with meds. Weakness to use alcohol while on med results from lack of motivation to heal.
Can you drink alcohol only once if taking fluvoxamine and methylphenidate (faverin+ritalin) or is it dangerous?
No alcohol on Luvox (fluvoxamine) I suspect in most jurisdictions you are under age and it would be illegal for you to drink. Ritalin (methylphenidate) and alcohol should not be mixed because alcohol raises Ritalin (methylphenidate) levels by 40%, making Ritalin (methylphenidate) toxicity much more likely. Adding alcohol to Luvox can prevent the Luvox from working for up to 72 hours and the result can severe rebound depression or anxiety. Don't drink on this combination. It is not safe.
