A tightly cord wrapping around the fetal neck or body can cause the fetal heart rate to decrease below normal repeatedly and require a cesarean section sometimes.
It is, however pretty common and not an immediate indication for c-section - amnioinfusion can help achieve a normal vaginal delivery.
