In brief: Exercise, hose,etc.
There is no specific preventive measure.
Care with use of 20-30 mm compression hose, exercise (walking is great), elevation of legs in the am and pm for 15 min help diminish the symptoms of incompetent veins. Avoiding obesity will help. Best to see a phlebologist who can fix your legs and give you good advise.
