In brief: Maybe

Certain inpatient facilities such as skilled nursing facilities require that residents be screened for latent and/or active tuberculosis infection.
Rules vary by institution.

This is primarily for the safety of other patients, since if a new admission has tuberculosis which can be active or become reactivated, they can then spread this to other patients in the facility.
