Urology

In brief: 2 weeks

The Tetracycline is used against Chlamydia, generally for 2 weeks( there is no set period).
However as far as pain is concerned in the urethra one can prescribe Pyridium (phenazopyridine) 100 mg Po three times a day for five days.please remember that when a patient contracts one sexually transmitted disease, there is great chance that he has others.severe urethral pain with discharge may indicate gonorrhea.
