Minocycline and Doxycycline have been shown by eular (multi-unversity), and the nih in the us.
Most rheumatologists do not use these, even though there are controlled trials demonstrating equal effececy with Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) and sulfasalzine. I use both quite often.
