In brief: Mini TT - Min Pain

Not very painful especially if it is a "skin only" mini tummy tuck instead of muscle tightening as well.
Exparel is a long acting local anesthetic that can be placed during surgery and lasts 3-4 days.

In brief: Less thn Full

Tummy tuck surgery varies between patients.
The muscular repair or lack of one is the most painful thing about one. A mini has no muscular repair or a limited one. Minis don't tend to hurt too much particularly if a pain pump is added. :).

In brief: Varies.

Every patient handles “pain” differently; generally speaking, any operation that involves “muscle work” can be quite uncomfortable for several days.
Keep in mind, that most patients who have had pregnancies and/or significant weight gain/loss are not actually good candidates for mini tummy tuck surgery. Best wishes.

In brief: Moderate

A mini-tummy tuck will not address looseness of the upper abdomen, only the skin below the belly button.
It is still surgery, usually done with general anesthesia, so it should not be thought of as a less invasive procedure. There are still surgical risks which is why you should make sure to discuss this, or any plastic surgery procedure, with a board-certified plastic surgeon.

In brief: Mini Tummy Tuck Pain

The pain level of the mini-tummy tuck should be less than a full tummy tuck as there is no surgical repair of the muscles, which is a more invasive procedure.
You can reduce the pain level with a pain pump. This pumps local anesthesia into the area so that the pain is reduced for the first few days after surgery. It is not required for the mini-tummy tuck, but used often with the full tt.

In brief: Not Too Bad

It's less painful than a full tummy tuck and somewhat less painful than a c-section.
It's important not to do any heavy lifting for a full 6 weeks after surgery to allow things to heal well enough to tolerate that.
