Asthma. Just because you don't have a low oxygen saturation does not mean you don't have significant asthma. Have they done pulmonary function testing? You need to see a Family Doc experienced with Asthma, an Allergist or a Pulmonologist. I see no reason it should cost that much. This is an everyday problem that we care for all the time. Not heart attack. Just by listening to the presentation, i think you are having a panic attack. Asthma could do this due to hyperventilation, but it seems more like panic attack with hyperventilation and feeling of doom. If you have been diagnosed with panic disorder, cardiac causes were previously ruled out and these are the same symptoms previously experienced w panic attacks- then the chances are remote.
