I'm on Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) the generic one. What's the possibility of ovulation? I heard you always ovulate and doctors lie bout it. Please tell truth im scared

Unlikely. About 1% to 3% of women using any oral contraceptive will still conceive - that means at least 1% to 3% of women ovulate while taking the pill. That risk is increased when women are non-compliant with taking a pill each day. The lower dose pills such as Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) (and the generics) have a higher failure rate and up to 5% of women will ovulate while taking that particular pill.

I took a pink yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) tablet around 24 hrs late & during and after the ovulation day I had little cramps on the left side. Can this mean that I ovulated?

No ovulation. When you are taking birth control pills you do not ovulate. There is no ovulation day. Anytime you miss pills you decrease their ability to prevent ovulation. Usually missing one pill does not affect the fertility too much but it is not a good idea. If remembering to take pills is hard for you consider using an IUD /Implant or a nondaily method. Does clear egg-like discharge mean ovulation even if on BC? I had this after I started a new pack of Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) & had unprotected sex the following 2 days...

Probably not... The egg-white like discharge while on BC doesn't necessarily mean ovulation. The birth control pills can affect your cervical mucus just like your natural cycle. If this isn't your first month on Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) and have been taking it correctly you are still protected from pregnancy. The chance of getting pregnant is about 3-5% per year. Best wishes! Read more...
