Do all palpitations show up on a ekg? Besides pvcs and pacs are normal palpitations an arrhythmia?

An EKG takes only one minute so you're "lucky" (I guess) to find any.
If the doctor is really concerned he'll put you on a constant monitor (that you carry around with you) for from 2 to 14 or so days.He'll also ask you to keep a record of any symptoms you feel during that time. Ordinarily it's not worrisome to have a few PVCs or PACs a day unless you have bad symptoms or they fit certain patterns
