How regularly/on time do you need to take birth control pills to be able to have unprotected sex and not get pregnant?

Similar . You are protected against pregnancy if you take them within a hours of the same time but some women have breakthrough bleeding if they are more than an hour off. I recommend finding a good time for you and then setting an alarm in your phone to remind you every day. Hope this helps.

How regularly/on time do you need to take birth control pills to be able to have unprotected sex and not get pregnant?

Depends. Specific answer depends on: 1. What type of bcp you are on (progestin only pills are very unforgiving, and need to be taken around the exact time every day). 2. When you miss a bcp (missing the first pill of a new pack is worse than missing the last pill). Ideally, take your pill around the same time every day, but generally okay if take same day. Oh, . Oh, my gosh. Don't have unprotected sex unless you want to get pregnant. I . I agree with dr. Fowler: the time to think about birth control is long before having sex. If you have access to oral contraceptives for use as a "morning after" pill, you certainly had access to take them as prescribed in advance. And condoms are cheap, readily available, and have the added advantage of protecting against sexually transmitted diseases. That said, using high doses of your regular oral contraceptive shortly after unprotected sex may reduce your chances of pregnancy after the fact. How many to take varies with the formulation of the pill itself. Here's a link to a web site that lists common oral contraceptives and their "emergency" doses: http://ec.Princeton.Edu/questions/dose.Html. Read more...

If I have unprotected sex 3times a day & take birth control pills regularly can it protect me from unwanted pregnancy??

Take every pill. Dear NC, Set an alarm on your phone and make sure to take a pill at the same time every day. The typical adult misses 4 pills a month which is too much. As long as you take a pill every single day, you are protected regardless of how many times you have intercourse. If you do miss a pill, please take one as soon as you remember. If you miss 2 pills, use condoms for one week. Read more...
